ERN-Apulia+MED in short
ERN-Apulia+MED extends its initiatives from the traditional Apulian context to the Mediterranean area and beyond. The focus is to highlight the strong connection factor represented by research, knowledge and culture, rediscovering common roots in the Mediterranean area, in a collective vision of progress, where borders dissolve, and the power of research, knowledge, and culture creates a better, more connected world.
ERN-Apulia+MED takes place in Italy (Lecce, Brindisi, Foggia, Castellana Grotte, Ostuni), Spain (Tarragona), Albania (Tirana) and Turkey (Istanbul).
The vast program of events includes initiatives on numerous topics, such as the universe and subatomic world, health and personalized medicine, agriculture and nutrition, environment and sustainability, biosphere and biodiversity, research, innovation and new technologies, archaeology, art, culture and creativity, science and society. Participants will be able to choose between theatrical shows on scientific topics, large experiments for the public, visits to museums and exhibitions, open and interactive laboratories, research stands, applied research and prototypes, multisensory experiences, experiments for everyone, scientific games, debates and tables roundabouts, informative seminars, stories of researchers (with attention to the presence of women in science) and discoveries.
One of the key aspects of the events scheduled in the cities involved is the narration of the link between research and territory. The protagonists are the history and passion of researchers, who you can get to know closely also to better understand their hopes, successes and difficulties.
Researchers Night
A unique event to meet researchers, learn more about their work and be part of their world for one night (and beyond).
We think our researchers are amazing. They do important work across many different fields from ICT to health to culture, in order to meet the challenges we face today. Why not ignite your curiosity by playing a scientific game or coming to a demonstration to see science in action?
Researchers at Schools
Would you like to host a seminar, live demonstration or science exhibit at your school? Then visit our website and learn about our exciting Researchers@Schools initiatives. Would you like a challenge? Then why not participate in our research contests. You can find all the information you need
