By 2050, the world will face the challenge of disposing of over 60 million tons of photovoltaic panels. But is it possible to give them a new life? Can the materials they contain, such as aluminum, silver, copper, and silicon, be recycled—and how? This is the challenge taken on by the PARSIVAL project, which involves organizations like ENEA, the start-up 9-Tech (coordinator), Erion, the University of Padua, the University of Salento, CEA, NorcSi GmbH, JPM Silicon, and Fundacion Gómez Pardo.
Nel 2050 nel mondo avremo oltre 60 milioni di tonnellate di pannelli fotovoltaici da smaltire. Ma è possibile dare loro una nuova vita? I materiali di cui sono composti come alluminio, argento, rame e silicio, si possono riciclare e come? E’ questa la sfida del progetto PARSIVAL, finanziato dalla KIC EIT RAWMaterials per gli anni 2023/2024, al quale partecipano la start-up 9-Tech (coordinatore), ENEA, Erion, le Università di Padova e del Salento, CEA, NorcSi, JPM Silicon, Fondazione Gomez Pardo.
